Sir,
Thank you very much for your help. Your input has proven
successful. I wish to thank you and let you know that if you are
ever in San Jose, CA USA drop me an email I owe you beer.

I would also like to express my gratitude to all who have helped, I
also owe you a beer.

The file pmfirewall.rules.masq file was the key that I had
overlooked. In my spare time I will write a short document that may
help those of us who have read the IPCHAINS-Howto and Man
page and found that they were of real no help.
