hey folks,
anyone ever scanned a machine with absolutely no ports open for
connection on the internet side only to get output from nmapfe (syn
stealth/tcp & icmp) stating that all ports are responding. none of
them are listed as "open" (blue text) but they are responding somehow
otherwise nmap wouldn't have detected them.
Before anyone asks ....no I am not scanning from the LAN. :)
I have about 4 pages of output from the scan. stating that everything
from telnet (which isn't even running let alone permitted by Ipchains)
to Netbus server is running...
Can anyone verify that nmap is detecting the Deny response from
ipchains?
Afterall this is a sort of response. I just don't get it.
Peace
,Jeremy
