Funny, my 2.4.0 menuconfig didn't show that option until I enabled it with
"make config" - might be a minor bug in the config code?
Make menuconfig will show *MOST* options - I've seen some oddball things
on alphas in the 2.2 series - but that's alpha *grin*

See, there's the trick - "almost every option" - I checked, rechecked, and
then did the old style "make config" before I saw the ipchains option the
first time.
Call it a fluke related to my system, and w'ell elt it rest...
