Subject: [pmfirewall] Is it possible to block Email with Ipchains?

At first i though this was a DNS issue.

Since the email is not even leaveing my server.

I call my DNS people . And they told me that the ISP,

I am trying to connect to, didn't have a reverse DNS record

(PTR) record in place for the IP address of their mail server.

well i connected UUNET and there was a problem . and they corrected it

But i still can't email that isp at all.

So my Question stands.

Can ip chains ( if configured so ) stop me from sending email to certian ip
addresses .. or even .nets?

and if so .. what would i look for in the ipchains.

Thanks for all the help.

Daniel
