Invalid mask usually means your ppp0 or eth0 interface isn't up yet when the
firewall initializes.

Thanks to everyone for the help,I tried to manually start pmfirewall and got
this error message:" Starting PMFIREWALL:/sbin/ipchains: invalid
mask`'specified,"
Does this mean I have to enable ip chains as Fred suggested ,if so how do
you enable it on Suse 7.1.I am using the 2.2 Kernel. Thanks again for all the
help,I appreciate you're expertise on this matter.
