I have the same issue with 2.4.5. on my box running progeny debian
(it's still mostly potato, with a few updates) mine goes one step
further tho...in addition to ipchains not pulling up, my nic isn't
grabbing a dynamic ip. after i boot, i run pump then restart
pmfirewall....
